Our Masters want to
provide safe and enjoyable sport of the highest
quality to all who hunt with the Red Rock
Hounds. Toward this end, please respect the
following rules:
- Do not pass or crowd the huntsman or hounds.
- Do not interfere with the hounds' movement
in any way.
- Seek advice from your field master, members
with colors or staff if you need assistance in
any situation.
Correct attire is requested, but most
importantly, clothing and tack must be well
fitting, workmanlike, neat and clean.
On Wednesdays and Fridays correct attire is
black hunt cap (harness and approved design
encouraged), hacking jacket (wool tweed cut as
short riding coat) with shirt and tie, breeches
(tan, buff or rust) and black boots.
On Sundays, members without colors and
capping guests should wear a black hunt cap,
white shirt with a stock, canary vest, a black
riding coat with black buttons, tan breeches and
black boots. Women with colors display them on
their coat collar and wear hunt buttons. Men
with colors may wear white breeches and a
scarlet coat.
Awarding of Colors
Colors are
awarded at the Masters' discretion, based on a
member's ability, participation and knowledge of
the hunt country. Three years active membership
is considered the minimum time required to gain
sufficient experience to be considered for
colors.
