Kennels (Ross Creek)............ Studded
with inviting coops, our home fixture also
features the picturesque pinnacles, the lush
green belt complete with grazing longhorns, our
northern Nevada version of the China Wall, as
well as the hill we fondly call "Porcupine".
Accommodations: B&Bs (within a
mile of kennels)

Campbell
Springs Five
miles northeast of the kennels, here we find
wide open flats, a series of canyons peppered
with juniper trees, and the Dogskin mountains.
Campbell Springs itself was the sight of one of
America's last Indian massacres in
1905! |
Bedell
Flats Just east of Campbell Springs, these
10,000 wide open acres often offer views of
antelope and mustangs in addition to a dense
coyote population. Watch out when the hounds get
a nose full out
here! |
Dugan's/Sue
Cliff's Ten miles south of home, galloping hills
and stunning views of Mt. Rose mark this
beautiful country. Wandering ranch roads give
the field excellent vantage points for
observation of hounds and staff working the
steep ridges above them. Thank you, Jerry
and Sue, for hosting this
fixture! |
Hungry
Valley............ Hungry Valley is 10 miles southeast of
the kennels. Bordered on the south by Hungry
mountain, this fixture is large, with tall sage
brush and many junipers. Last summer's range
fire will favor new vegetation and game this
season. Thank you Jim & Dodie for
hosting this
fixture! |
Seve
Ranch This fixture is 15 miles northwest of
the kennels. It is flat and fast, with dry lake
bed areas merging into the shallow Honey Lake.
One winter our hounds chased a coyote in full
view straight across the frozen lake and back
into the surrounding high sage. Thank
you, Don & Nancy, for hosting this
fixture! |
Eureka,
Nevada............ Three hundred miles east of Reno on
Route 50 (the loneliest highway in America),
here we hunt from a wide valley floor into
juniper studded foothills, all in the shadow of
the Diamond Mountains. We hunt this
fixture due to the generosity of landowners and
hosts Pete and Cindy Lazetich. Thank you!

Gerlach,
Nevada Seventy-five miles north of Pyramid
Lake, where the pavement ends, lies the Fascio
Ranch. Hill, canyons, flat lake beds and eerie
hot springs make this our fixture that we call a
tribute to Art Bell. We hunt this fixture
due to the generosity of landowner and host
Sylvia Fascio. Thank you!

Belmont,
Nevada............ Forty miles northwest of Tonapah, Henry and Bertie Berg, and the Belmont Inn host this
spectacular fixture in an old mining town with a
correct population of 12! 8,000 foot elevation,
we hunt the foothills of the Toiyabe range.
Bobcat and mountain lion abound here in addition
to loads of coyote

Three Forks,
Montana............ This fixture is 2 days drive N.E. of Reno and sits at the convergence of the Jefferson, Madison and Gallatin Rivers which form the head waters of the Missouri river. We hunt the rolling wheat fields, canyons, and mountains of this spectacular Big Sky country. It is truly breath taking! We hunt this incredible country due to the generousity of Pat and Bob Green and Don Scoffield. Once again Pete and Cindy Lazatich who made it all happen when they bought and opened the Sacajawea Hotel. Thank you to all of you who make this incredible hunt possible!
