Dear Members of Red Rock Hounds:
The Arapahoe Hunt is celebrating its 75th Anniversary this
season. We invite you all to help us celebrate this milestone
during a Hunt Week we will hold from Tuesday, December 2, until
Saturday, December 6. Ben Hardaway's Midland Fox Hounds, hunted
by Mason Lampton, MFH, will join us for two of the four
consecutive days of hunting. The Hunt Week will also include a
variety of social events described below.
Please advise us whether and which events you will attend by
completing and returning the attached Hunt Week Response. We
will send each attendee more specific information, including
directions to the various events, as soon as we receive your
Response.
Schedule of Events

Tuesday, December 2 — To participate in all of the activities
for the week, plan to arrive in Denver on Tuesday, December 2.
We will have an informal "Dutch-Treat" gathering that evening
at the Radisson Inn Denver Southeast, I-225 and Parker Road,
Aurora, Colorado, at 7:00 p.m. If you can't be here for the
entire Hunt Week, join us for as much as you can.

Wednesday, December 3
1:30 p.m. — Stirrup Cup at our Kennels, 34600 East Quincy
Avenue
2:00 p.m. — Hunt with the Arapahoe Hounds, Dr. Marvin Beeman,
MFH, Huntsman, from our Kennels. Formal attire. Potluck supper
following the Hunt provided by members of the Arapahoe at our
Clubhouse at the Kennels.

Thursday, December 4
10:00 a.m. — Coffee and pastries in the Clubhouse at the
Kennels.
11:00 a.m. — Hunt with the Midland Fox Hounds, Mason Lampton,
MFH, huntsman, from the Arapahoe's Kennels. Formal attire.
Potluck Hunt Breakfast provided by members of the Arapahoe in
the Clubhouse at the Kennels following the Hunt.
5:00 - 7:30 p.m. — Cocktail Party at the Cherry Hills home of
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Gooding, hosted by the Goodings and the
Arapahoe Hunt.

Friday, December 5
10:00 a.m. — Coffee and pastries in the Clubhouse at the
Kennels.
11:00 a.m. — Hunt with the Arapahoe Hounds from the Kennels.
Formal attire.
6:00 p.m. - 12:00 Midnight — The Arapahoe Hunt's 75th
Anniversary Hunt Ball at the Radisson Inn Denver Southeast.
Formal attire. $75 per person. Cash Bar 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.

Saturday, December 6
1:30 p.m. — Stirrup Cup at the Arapahoe Kennels
2:00 p.m. — Hunt with the combined packs of the Midland Hounds
and Arapahoe Hounds from the Kennels. Formal attire.
5:30 p.m. — An evening's entertainment of dinner, live music
and dancing at the Clubhouse at the Kennels. Hosted by the
Joint Masters of the Arapahoe, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence C. Phipps
III, Mr. and Mrs. Donald J. O'Connor and Dr. and Mrs. Marvin
Beeman.

Sunday, December 7 — Head for home tired but we hope happy.
Capping Fees
We will not charge any capping fees during the Hunt Week to
members of hunts that carry liability insurance under the MFHA
policy. However, for members of hunts that are not so insured,
we will charge a single $18 capping fee for each such rider to
cover our out-of-pocket insurance costs.
Stabling
Arrangements for stabling are still tentative. There will be box
stalls at High Prairie Farms, about 20 miles southwest of the
Kennels. The charges will be approximately $20 per horse per
day. Bring your own hay, grain, blankets and water buckets.
However, we are also trying to arrange stabling at Arapahoe Park
Race Track which is 5 miles west of the Kennels.
Lodging
Lodging arrangements have been made at the Radisson Inn Denver
Southeast for 25 double rooms at $59 per room per night
regardless of occupancy. There are other motels in the area as
well.
